Welcome onboard new sailors!
During 3 hours we will get short theory, learn and practice sailing. You will understand and fill what is to be on the boat, how to control the boat, try to do it by yourself.
If you will like it – you can book sailing course later.
Main location in Stockholm is Tranebergs Segelsällskap. Also there are other locations around Stockholm. Maximum 4 people on the boat during education.

Short sailing course
Let’s break new boundaries and find a new degree of freedom!
On this short course you will learn how to sail, how to operate sailing boats in different conditions.
We will mix theory and practice to make education easy and effective.
We will learn sailing terminology, parts of the boat, points of sail, how to tie most important sailing knots, trim the sails, give way rules to prevent collisions, keep course, prepare boat for different conditions, reefing the sails, docking the boat, anchoring, and many others.
At the end of the course it will be examination.
After that course you will be able to control your own sailing boat in Sweden
Short course consist of 21 hours. For example, 7 lessons
3 hours each or 3 lessons 7 hours each. We can choose what will fit better for you.
Price is 4200 sek per person
For group upto 4 persons prise is 15000 sek
Extended sailing course
Open new degree of freedom!
In this we will learn everything from short sailing course and additionally will focus on responsibilities of a bareboat skipper, crew safety checks, hull and rig checks, machinery and systems checks, sources of meteorological information, weather patterns, sea and land breezes, cloud types and formations, pilotage and passage planning, considerations when planning a passage, routine for navigating a coastal passage, passage strategy, port regulations, pilotage plans, vessel handling in confined quarters, mooring, anchoring, coming alongside, ropes, knots, care and use of lines general deck work, tides and currents theory, tidal heights, springs and neaps, position fixing, running fixes, plotting the effect of tides and currents, extended collision regulations, lights, shapes and sounds, dingy handling etc.
At the end of the course it will be examination
After that course you will be able to control your own or rented sailing boat upto 24 m all around the world.
Short course consist of 42 hours. For example, 14 lessons
3 hours each or 3 lessons 7 hours each. We can choose what will fit better for you.
